Seasonal party themes for a year of celebration

Nothing can be more fun than a party with all your friends. And when you know just when to throw it, it’s even better, because everything can be settled weeks in advance. Here are some typical seasonal parties that usually take place during a year.

Let’s start with Valentine’s Day. The 14th of February. A big party with all the couples you know would be an excellent choice. Single people may come too, but make sure that the number of men is equal to the number of women. After some glasses of wine and that magical atmosphere, who knows what may happen? The decorations should be simple: a couple of hearts hanging from the ceiling, napkins, and cookies, all should be heart-shaped. The party would really be a blast if you pop a bottle of champagne at midnight, and all the couples exchange gifts between them.

The 1st of March brings along the joy of spring, and what would be better than a party? If not, the best occasion to throw this type of party would be on the 8th of March, on Mother’s day. Bring all your friends that have kids to a nice family barbecue, and if the youngsters bring gifts for their moms, the atmosphere will be perfect.

Easter holidays are one of the kid’s favorite. The Easter bunny hops by and brings them presents, and if the presents are being delivered during a big gathering of friends, even better. The menu should not miss the traditional boiled decorated eggs. This is, of course, one of the holidays that should be celebrated with the family, so give them a call and drop by, or invisend out some party invitations.

Usually, by the beginning of summer, kids finish school, and each and every year this should be a reason to celebrate, especially if yours graduated with high grades. Gather all your kid’s friends, invite them over for a pool party, or invite a magician/ clown over to entertain them. Give them cookies and juice and they will be happy, guaranteed, and, if you offer them party bags too, then they will surely leave with a big smile on their face at the end of the day. Your kid will then be not only one of the smartest, but one of the coolest kids in school!

The 30th of October brings Halloween and the “zombies” into our life. A costume party is the greatest thing you could do for you and your friends. You could pick a theme like: Star Wars or Pirates, or you could let everyone choose their outfit, and let them mingle. Who said that only kids go trick-or-treating? Drink a glass of some homemade punch; grab some of your guests and go from house to house, to rediscover the joy of being a child and eating free candy!

Christmas is another joyous holiday, only this time, Santa is the one watching you closely all year long to make sure you get your presents. And if he delivers them by midnight, when the party you throw is just starting to get wild, then everybody will be happy all the remaining days of the year. Gather your friends to help you decorate the Christmas tree, and hang stockings and mistletoe all over your house.

Putting some lights on your house or at your window would really give this holiday the right spirit, stealing a smile from every person that passes by and sees them. Then, make sure that the presents you give away are carefully packed, because this is the first sign of showing how much you care about a person: the patience you had while packing it to make it look perfect. Find some carols and play them all night long, and if you have a fireplace, then the atmosphere is almost complete. Good friends, nice music, presents just wish for the snow and everything will be magnificent.

Last, but not least on the list of well-known holidays, New Year’s Eve. This party is the most important of them all, because it ends a year full of important events, good or bad, which happened in your life, and marks the beginning of a new year, of the unknown. Put on your best clothes and start to party.

Get all the kids to celebrate with you in a different room, so that they will listen to their music, and have fun in their own way, without interfering with your guests. At midnight, just relax and enjoy the fireworks with your friends, and make wishes for the year that just started. Then start the party all over again, until the sun starts to show itself. This is one event that you will remember all year long, so make sure it’s worth it!

Another reason to celebrate is, of course, a birthday in your family. If it’s your birthday, well, it’s your way of doing it. If it’s your kid’s birthday, then ask him what he wants, because he might not like to celebrate it at home this year, due to the fact that all his friends threw parties somewhere downtown. But if he decides to do something home, then there are many possibilities to help him organize this event. Some of the party themes are mentioned above, while talking about the graduation party, but, of course, you can come up with your very own opinion.

Therefore, these are a couple of ideas on how to celebrate the most important holidays of the year. The perfect recipe would be to grab your friends, put on some nice music, have some appetizers, maybe some main course (usually nobody eats too much at a party) and forget about all your worries. Then, of course, you might even forget what were you celebrating in the first place, but that wouldn’t be a problem, as long as you’re having a good time, would it?
